From Andrea White -

Hello all -

Thank you so much for all of your prayers for our trip - we are truly being blessed by the wonderful people here. As Cathy was saying to one of the people who was tending a store in our hotel, and told the woman that everybody was so nice here, even when we are saying something wrong in their language - they tell us to keep trying, the woman replied, we´re not French! No offense to those of you who are French. ;-)

I really do not have much to add to what has been said about the experience here, it is amazing, and we have a great team to work with, but I do have to add that a few people, Nicole, Alex, Richard and I have had the unique experience of getting paint on our contacts - it´s a very nice decoration.. puts and extra sparkle in our eyes. :-) Also, I am gaining precision on getting paint squarely on my clothing - it´s quite beautiful actually.

Keep praying for us, we are having a wonderful time, and enjoying serving whatever way we can. Breakfast is calling me, and we have to be to the bus by 8am so God Bless you all.

Andrea

From Alex Little -

sorry for not getting to you all yesterday, i was just too tired to come downstairs and get on the computer.

Today was the day when everyone starts to get very irritated about being constantly dirty. I had paint, dirt, sweat, and everything else imaginable all over me. And you know how, in the movies, when people say ´´Well it can´t get any worse!´´ and then it rains? Well, it rained. Not very hard, but hard enough to make the people who have to clean the brushes and rollers outside, very, very wet.

Today we painted ceilings, ceilings, and even more ceilings. We all got a little agitated when the colored paint didn´t show up right on time. We could have had the line drawn with the darker color and had it all ready to paint by tomorrow. And when they did bring them, they only brought 2 of the colors.  But, as the bishop told us, We must stay flexible for things to work out.

I think i certainly want to come back here, or if not here, i´d certainly like to go on other trips. They are also going to build an orphanage, and i´d defenitely like to help with that.

Much much love to all,

alex
