From John White -

Hola muy buenos dia del campo de mision--yesterday was another day of fun and labor.  Keep Margarita in your prayers.  During the afternoon awaiting the arrival of paint when I ran out of things to do (thank God), Margarita came by the daycare center.  I learned from her about the challenges of living in Honduras with two little ones, Hannah and Gabriela.  Without going into details, it is very hard.  The conditions here are so different in every thing from the medical system (yesterday´´s paper had a story about the impact of problem of trash not being collected at medical centers), to contractors showing up when they feel like it or not at all.  Carlos sent me to the hardware store several times to buy rollers, tape, pans, etc.  It wasn´t Nichols Hardware.  But the people were nice.  Can´´t remember if I mentioned a Honduran basic restaurant we ate at night before last.  I had sopa de pescado (sea bass soup) and it was absolutely delicious.  You should get photographs from Charlie of some of the barrios which are breathtakingly poor.  Alice I´ll try to talk to Flor and get the one station you asked for.  She does not have a complete set right now but Ill ask about that too.  The price is 10.00 per station.  Mary, I miss you.

Love to all John

From Renee Geiger -

Dear everyone, especially Bill, we have had such a busy week!  We spent yesterday waiting for the colored paint to arrive, which it did, finally at 3:00. To fill our time, we used the very weak paint to triple coat the ceilings. Before we left for the day we were able to start tone room, by making a taplelinne all around each room as the rooms were to be two toned.  When the paint lady arrived, to our surprise, she had only two room´s worth and that was in recycled drywall buckets.  One came complete with old chunks of drywall.  Margarite told her that she had to be at the daycare center by 7:45 today to meet our byus, with the remaining paint.  Well, she did, and we spent 11 hours there today, and painted all of the rooms.  We are very tired bur elated to be mostly finished.  tomrorrow we will take the toys everyone provided, and present them to Margarita.  Oh, and at lunch we finally met Tucker, the organizer of all Hondouran missions. We are so aware that we are the body of Christ, and that we have worked and been received by everyone here as Christian brothers and sisters first, not as Americans.  Love you all - Renee
